[Stata] Example Datasets in Stata

This post covers how to find example datasets in Stata.

1. Preapartion

Internet connection is needed to fully access the dataset list.

2. GUI

(Drop down menu) File > Example datasets

A new Viewer window and you will see something like below.

You can click 'Example datasets installed with Stata' to see the list of the datasets.

Clicking 'Stata 16 manual datasets' in the previous Viewer page allows you to see multiple types of analysis and related datasets.

3. Command

You can also use the following command command to see the dataset list.

help dta_contents
